Carmel is an experienced facilitator in the area of education compliance, having 20 years experience in senior academic leadership roles in complex and dynamic organisations within Australia. In these roles she has gained considerable experience in educational practices and quality improvements to meet and exceed national compliance standards. Carmel is now at your organisation’s service to assist in navigating the often complex environment of compliance.
Her previous career appointments have included Director of Educational Programs within the vocational education sector of TAFE NSW. With over 17 campuses in Carmel’s portfolio, she is adept at operating within geographically dispersed high-level complex environments. These senior level skills allow her to critically assess an organisation and provide efficient outcomes for AQTF compliance.
Carmel has highly developed skills in critical analysis and can readily manage complex sets of information. She has the ability to see the strategic picture and uses a "whole of business" approach to compliance management. She can assist you with your internal auditing and preparations for RTO Registration and Re-registration, and additions to your RTO Scope.

Backed by impressive formal qualifications including a Master of Educational Studies, Graduate Diploma in Education, Bachelor of Commerce, Diploma of Quality Auditing and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Carmel’s skills in the critical analysis of complex training industry issues enables her to develop solutions aligned to your organisational goals.
In various senior leadership positions in the vocational education and training sector, Carmel had oversight of management systems to ensure quality delivery of training and assessment. Her vocational education and training experience includes resource accountability for staff, capital assets and equipment, training and assessment resources, and educational programs in both multi-million dollar and small budget business units.
Carmel has considerable leadership experience in customised courses to meet the needs of industry, regional and local communities, and marginalised groups such as rural isolated communities, the unemployed, Indigenous communities, women and people with disabilities. She can work with your organisation to optimise the use of training resources to fulfil your RTO requirements.
